Saying Goodbye to a Pal

 Natalia and Mya are moving this weekend.

Natalia worked with Ben before we had Mimi (and Mya was a newborn). There's something about longevity. Because with each year of a friendship, a ring of history is added. Some of those rings are filled with hard times, some with joy. But they fill out to make an even thicker relationship.

We've been able to be a bigger part of Natalia and Mya's life in the last couple years, and it's definitely brought us closer.

Natalia is like Mimi's super cool aunt (but mixed with a sorority mom/Willy Wonka). It's an all girl sugar/Disney fest whenever Mimi would go over to their house and she wouldn't want to come home.

They will be missed.

There's more just something to saying goodbye; it goes against our very DNA.

But, with every goodbye, there's something wonderful waiting on the other side and I'm very excited for where they're going...(Florida! Sun! Mickey! Closer to family!)

We're thankful for the relationships and surprise friendships that we're blessed with in our life.

A Very Happy Birthday Indeed

I am SO blessed. I had a great birthday. Thank you for all of your sweet birthday wishes.

My morning started by a spontaneous serenade by this blonde boy:

Then had a great, crazy facetime session with my birthday buddy Isaac Caldwell!

...and his new baby brother :)))))!!!!!

And his other sweet brother Charlie :))

Charlie had a fondness for Henry when they stayed with us, so we made sure to get Henry on Facetime too!

Then my dad and Rachel came by with this glorious, Gluten-free amazingness...and we had a lil' party!

And my Grandpa Skip came!

The day ended with a family sushi date (where Mimi loudly whispered to Ben about a "surprise dessert"...and I pretended that I didn't hear).

I am blessed.

Then the next day we went to the museum!

These are just randoms...

I also got a bike! The last time I had a new bike I think I was 9.

I used my bday money from Mom and Rodg to buy a yellow beauty...

And it's got the whole family out more!
