Did you know that Mimi goes by "Mary-Ellen" at school? Well, she does. It's actually her name on her birth certificate (even though we knew we'd call her Mimi).
So, this is Mary-Ellen/Mimi at her fabulous painting birthday party last weekend. It was hands down her favorite party to date (and mine too). It was sweet and small and creative and perfect for her. Taking pictures of it I felt like I was filming an American Girl Doll movie; older girls, but still retaining some young sweetness. It's a great time to be a 9.
Once you hit a theme (flamingoes) it's hard to put the balloons down and back away slowly...
