Summer Mash Up

On day one of swimming lessons this year Mimi made friends with a sweet girl named Bayleigh. Little did both girls know, but Bayleigh's mom and I are friends from WAY back! (Centaurus High School, what?!) Her mom is Savannah Holms, Cleve's sister!

AND, the boys became fast friends as well...they have Brody. We have Bode. They will both be in preschool together next year. And I will be their teacher. AWWW!

I love me a good pool view in the morning...

Swim lessons means a daily allowance of otter pops and ring pops (and anything else that ends with "pops" and turns your tongue unnatural colors).

Our preschool that I work for is part of the city.
So that means I basically am living my dream of working in an office like "Park and Rec"
So, because of that, I our family was asked to be filmed for a promo for the parks department. Yep. That's right. We're famous.  ;)

And as we all know, fame requires that we lunch OUT of course.

Softball has come to an end, but not without a few more pictures!

Mimi is a budding engineer at her school's Engineering camp ;)
and Bode and I pick her up!

Kid sleepovers...

And mom movie nights!

My partner in crime, always...Bode.

Finding DORY! With our besties!

(yes, I take pictures during movies. I have a problem. But I love Sea otters. I told Ben that they are my spirit animal. Before they were in the movie. :)

Oh Longs Peak peeking out in a warm evening sky...I see you baby.

(why can I see in a few years Mimi looking like she's babysitting me?)

More pool...

And summertime "yes" mom...

And early morning Uno.

Father's Day breakfast with Popee!

Have cameras will breakfast.

Our "cousins" Kenzie and Logan

Never have our kids been so in love.
(and SO out of our hair).

Love these dads.

(and these moms )

Softball "Banquet!"at TCBY

Mimi, don't look now, but Kylo Ren is sitting RIGHT.NEXT.TO.YOU.

Don't move a muscle.

Last softball game, nestled in the crook of the beautiful, stormy flatirons.

And then that time when our kids were "simpatico" with each other and asked to sleep in the same bed. On a bean bag chair. (summer is for yes.).

(don't worry, we took it out after I took this).

Brody, Ari and Bode.

Smashburger has my heart.

Super hero masks have Bode.

One time, we were driving home and I saw a guy crossing the street to get a golf ball. I thought "how random. Who crosses the street like that?" Then I thought, "my dad would." "Wait! That IS my dad!!!" So we flagged him down and said hi. How crazy?! He lives in Wheatridge! Running into him on accident isn't a usual occurrence. It was also poetic because my mom and dad lived right near this course when I was a baby and my mom used to say "wave hi to daddy" (because he was always at the golf course. Or at least as legend has it. Probably where it went wrong ;)

Love you Popee!

And last in this tiring recap, is Mimi with her buddy Emma. Our girl is so blessed with some great friends.
