San Francisco

Hello!

I'm short on words, long on pictures.

Here is a recap of my weekend in San Francisco with my bestie Julie :)

(bathroom selfie for Mimi in Phoenix. How is it that you can't wait to escape from your munchkins, then you miss them SO much..immediately?!)

Part one...seeing Julie's HOOD. Too adorable for words. I was looking for Truman.

THE CITY!

Fancy...
...and this is where I stop narrating, because I'll sound like a trite sorority girl. "FANCY!" "Champagne time!" ;)

This was our view while we had dinner. Hog Island Oysters.

Stop it. Perfect weather. History. The ocean. The Cali vibe...San Francisco was romancing me...

(the bakery where I cried. Don't worry about it).

FOG! It's a real thing...! How much cooler can you get San Fran?!?

Irish Coffee

This guy was working his tip with the tourist. And we played right in.

The hills...

The trolleys!

The adorable houses!

Sorry Julie. I love this picture :)

Dinner at Anchor and Hope...

Then, for a few bibliophiles...
Novela!

LOVE you friend! Thanks for a fun trip! xo

Epilogue.
I realized (wait, BEN realized) as Julie was about to take me to the airport, that I had booked my return ticket for the NEXT day. Oh dear. Multiple calls ensued...husbands that shouldn't even be bothered were bothered...all hands on deck. New ticket. New time. To the airport.

Then a 2 hour delay in CA.

Then a 4 hour delay in Phoenix.

Needless to say, when I saw this drawing Mimi had done in the middle of my TIME magazine, I loved it more than I even should've.

Lots of magazines...and a whole book later...

(oh, and a lunar eclipse!)

I was HOME!!!! YAY!

I loved delivering my trinkets to the chillins..
Bode loved his Star Wars workbook and ninja pen :)

And, all of the GF places in San Fran, the cute dogs and fun experiences made me MISS Mimi. So when she rolled out of her room this morning, with a nest of bedhead and a big T-shirt Nana gave her, I couldn't wait to squeeze her and kiss her sweet forehead.

She loved her FOG snow globe AND her GF bag and french bread from Auntie Julie:
