I have an aunt who I used to spend a lot of time with in the summer. She had three boys and their house was crazy...
and I LOVED it.
I was a well-behaved, quiet (was I mom?) only child. I loved getting a contact high from my boy cousins' misbehavior. We had sleepovers in the backyard, walked to their swim meets and rode in the back of my aunt's station wagon to get ice cream for ice cream floats. (My aunt's idea).
Aunt Mare loved summer. You could tell that she just wanted to squeeze as much fun out of it as she could. She had her own little summer "bucket list" (just not on a cute little print out frame because this was before Pinterest). She took us to Water World and Elitches and anywhere in between.
I'd like to trace my enthusiasm for summer fun to her.
I've had a burning desire to do all things summer and fun lately.
(however, I realized that this is a typical "mom" gene...most of my friends have their own summer bucket lists going on. Nothing like three months out of school to really give you a time frame to take advantage of!)
The next stop on the Turrill Summer Fun Train for us last week was MINI GOLF! (or Putt Putt...whichever you prefer!)
This particular golf course had a little gnome that walked in front of wherever your ball was going...quite an original obstacle...
At the end we put our balls into this peg game to see if we could win a free round next time...
And guess who did?!?!
BODE!
We'll be back Mini golf...
Until next time :)
