Football is back. We've been constantly reminded that this fall is MUCH warmer than last, and we're not mad at it.
This is a sweet little combine fundraiser that Twin Peaks Youth Sports puts on. It was Bode's first year. I loved watching his intensity. (Even if his intensity comes out on me sometimes when he feels uncomfortable or nervous). With dad as his coach and an old friend and new friend by his side, it was a good day.
(for awhile I could only take pictures from the back so he didn't get mad. My thought: bring your camera to this, so you can just WATCH the games).
He caught ALL of them! (Why are we so excited when our kids succeed? Even knowing that failure is the best teacher? Maybe because life is hard and wins are to be celebrated. And confidence can shrink as life goes on. This one needed a bit of "good" today to get him off to a great start).

Now off to photograph a wedding reception. ;) Glad we got some good family time in first. This Fall is "photo season meets teaching full time until October." Should be fun.
