Today Aunty Fash saw Mimi for our coffee/shopping date and said, "She's not a baby anymore!!"

I completely got what she was saying. Mimi just seems to have passed a threshold from "baby-ness" to almost toddler. She isn't that little newborn who stares blankly at you and cuddles in your arms (Ash saw this first hand as she tried to contain a very wiggly Mimi during coffee...) She is doing so much these days and life has definitely gotten "squirmier." She's into a lot of things already (like my food, my hair, my jewelry, my cell phone, the books I'm reading...and on) but today the pictures below show a new first:

MISCHIEF!

This is the scene I walked into in the living room after I had spent a minute in the kitchen making lunch. (Notice how extremely proud and more than willing to smile for this incriminating photo!) She had managed to pull many wipes out of the container in a matter of seconds! I didn't even know that she could do that.

Forever Blooming on My Blog...

Here are the beautiful spring blooms that grace us with their presence every March by our garage...

My guess is that's probably the last we'll see of our pretty flowers until next Spring. Oh well, it was a good run while it lasted.

This is how we spent last weekend: in the sun at Ben's baseball game. He is playing on a men's league team with his good friend, Matt Jensen every Sunday (so much for trying to get to church this summer I guess..BOO!) But, we're proud of him and love watching him play. I'm sure you'll see many more pictures of BoCo (Boulder, Colorado) baseball!

On Sunday, Ben and I ran the "Runnin' of the Green" in downtown Denver and Popee stayed with Mimi. It was a fun day to be out, showing our Irish spirit.

As I write this I'm wiping green sprinkles off of my face from a particularly festive morning treat (I'll use any excuse to eat a chocolate-iced donut!) and then I'm off to get our corned beef, cabbage and potato dinner ready for tonight. Hope you have a fun day full of green :)

MARCH MADNESS!

March Madness (The college basketball tournament) has hit the Turrill household. Every year Ben and I fill out brackets and have a little friendly family competition. Since we have a new family member this year, we didn't waste anytime getting Mimi filling out her very own bracket to enter.

I know that we're not being very scientific about the process and there are many errors in our method (yes, I've noticed that she just likes the book "Wiggle Waggle"), but here's what Mimi's thought so far...We'll let you know who's bracket wins.

Double the Love

Last week Mimi and I met Aunt Kate and her twin sister Jennifer on Pearl Street for a sushi date. Mimi didn't know what to do with herself! TWO Ryan sisters to hold her and love her?!!?! Could life get any better?

Zoo Day

Last week we met our friends Jamie and Cannon at the Denver Zoo. Ash told us that it was a free day, so we didn't waste any time heading down there! (but we missed Ash and the crew..boo!) It was a fun sunny day and Jamie and I perfected our stroller derby skills as we dodged the huge crowds and picked up stray shoes that Canon and Mimi kept kicking off.


Another extra special treat was running into our favorite zoo volunteer:

Auntie Karen!

She volunteers at the zoo and we miraculously ran into her as we were leaving. It was such a treat! With all of the people and all of the places we could've been at the zoo we just happened to be leaving as she was coming in for the day. It was just meant to be. What a perfect way to end our perfect day at the zoo.

(Brooke wasn't at the zoo, but I had to slide this in because her and Phil came over for dinner...pre-selling our dining room table). We had SO much fun with them! Brooke and I discovered that we're both planning our 10 year high school reunion, so we're going to lean on each other through the process and be "reunion plannin' buddies" :)

Craigslist Love

Craigslist giveth...

and Craigslist taketh away

I have fallen into a deep preoccupation/love with Craigslist (the website where you can sell stuff/buy stuff in your area). Currently 10% of everything we've ever owned is for sale right now on craigslist. Yesterday we sold our dining room table. Lately it just didn't seem like it fit with the rest of the house and with the increasing amount of baby stuff invading our space, life was feeling cluttered. So I posted it on Craigslist just to see if anyone would bite. Yesterday the sweetest family came and bought it (right as we were welcoming our friends Rusty and Rachel over for dinner..perfect timing right? Who said a cluster of t.v. trays in the living room isn't classy? :) SO, now we have cash AND a wide open dining room!

(Ben said that this is Mimi's "Benny look." I couldn't agree more!)
