VBS!

It's a group project...

(the night before VBS started we had tickets to see third day at Red Rocks. We had kids that were sick and it was going to be a long week. So we sold them on craigslist. This is how a Christian craigslist transaction goes...we listed them at the price we bought them at, but left off the tax and service fees, etc...the guy who bought them offered to give us $20 extra for that all. Who does that. AND he texted pictures during the concert. Love that).

THIRD DAY.

One night Bode and I had an epic bike ride around our area...

in p.js. and all..of course.

We even stopped to see our little buddy Emerson!

And then got ice cream!

And then was rescued by Adam Strah because the weather turned dicey. Thank goodness for friends with trucks!

Mimi started a little camp at school

She appreciates the time away from her brother.

We have a new member of our family!!!  BEZA! A sweet girl in Africa who we are helping with food and other needs...it's through Out of Ashes. A great organization. I'm so excited.

That sweet boy with Bode is Tucker. He's a middle schooler who is the older brother of one of Mimi and Charlotte's former classmates. He helped out with the littles during VBS. LOVE HIM!

Mimi and I saw "Inside Out." Duh. Had to. Even a night before it really came out. xo

And I made a mental note to come back with Ben for these gems...

And pretty soon Mimi, mom, Rodg and I are seeing these loves!!! YAY!

Little Girls Book Club

One day when we were over at Mason and Mikaela's house, we noticed that Mikaela and Brianne had the same book that Mimi and I had..."The One and Only Ivan." We decided that we should do a Mother/Daughter book club. The first meeting was held last week. It was quite possibly the cutest thing ever. 

We got some sweets at Scrumptious and then found a little secret garden to meet and talk about the book at. Pretty precious.

We can't wait for the next one!

The Pinkertons Visit!

A year ago, Laura and Charlie (and Kenzie and Logan) were here saying their "I dos" in Lyons. We were so excited to see them again!!!

Oma and BT's house is synonymous with "whipped cream." :)
