Meeting Santa

Last night we went to Longmont's "Santa's Workshop" with the Swansons.

It was pure crazy madness, but it was pretty awesome and special too. They had milk and cookies, "elves" in a workshop, various characters to have pictures with, projects, face painting, Santa and even..

REAL REINDEER!

We made a beeline for the Santa line (thanks to the Swansons for saving a spot for us!)

My only mission of the night was to get Bode's first "Santa pic" before he fell asleep.

First it was Gent's turn...

Then Mimi's!!!

She told me she asked Santa for a stuffed pony..

PHEW!

Then, are you ready for the "money shot?!"

We placed a snoozing Bode Turrill in Santa's cozy lap...

PRECIOUS!!

How sweet is that?! Rosy cheeks and all... 

And this was how he spent the better part of the night while his sister enjoyed the festivities:

Home Depot had a little "workshop" set up where kids could make a project out of wood. The sound of hammering filled the gym-which really did make it feel like Santa's workshop!

I loved getting to see her light up at all of the magic.

(Best part of the night was when we were saying goodbye to the reindeer, and she came to me breathless saying, "those are the reindeer that are carrying Santa to MY HOUSE!!!")
