Me and My Daddy

Mimi has the best Daddy EVER. We know some pretty great guys out there, and I'm sure that they are all amazing daddies too! Just let me brag about Ben for a minute. :)

He is superman. After a long day of getting yelled at at the branch from angry customers, managing challenging situations and dealing with BIG things, he comes home to Mimi and I and jumps right in. Most nights consist of Mimi running to him the minute she hears the door as he sweeps her up and takes her upstairs while he changes out of his "superman/bank manager" attire. Then he goes downstairs and "jumps" on Mimi's trampoline with her...playing various imaginary games that usually involve barbies and princess dresses. (Something that I'm sure his college self never imagined...)

Then he proceeds to pretend to be Peter Pan all night (at Mimi's request)-sidenote: I get to be Nana, the nursery dog. How did that happen?! - as Mimi follows him around addressing him as Peter ( he calls her "Wendy" ). He jumps around with his hands on his hips in true Peter Pan fashion and helps her to fly like Tinkerbell, tirelessly.

Then he jumps in to tackle bath time and goes into Mimi's room ahead of us to turn on her nightlight and noise machine (that actually may just be his OCD, but either way, it's sweet). 

Of course this is just a small snippet of wonderfulness. Not intended to brag as much as give credit where credit's due...being a mom is tough, but so is being "Superdad." Thanks Benny. It doesn't go unnoticed ;) 

(we also do try to give him some much needed time in his recliner with the remote control and plenty of sports as a rest from his day...)
