We have a theme song in our house right now, and it' s Katy Perry's "Hot and Cold."


Because it COMPLETELY describes my relationship with Mimi right now.

It is uncanny. She's super moody, throws fits about the littlest stuff (yesterday she came unglued that I had my window rolled down...!?!) and is just plain not fun to be around lately. Of course I love her to pieces and know it's just a phase...probably a result of a)age and b)adjusting to life sharing the spotlight and attention with her brother. So I know it's okay and it's normal, but it doesn't mean it's always fun.  


So when she starts to act up Ben and I start singing this song to each other. It keeps something that is pretty stressful, lighthearted. Thanks Katy Perry.
