Fishin'

The kids and I have been alone for the past week, while Ben was on a "Mancation" with his dad, brother and Reid and Pete (more on that later).

We had lots of fun adventures on our own (as I was scrambling for ways to keep us busy and distracted). On our last day flying solo, my mom and Rodger found a little Loveland Fishing Derby for all of us to go to. 

Friday night they brought Mimi a Barbie fishing pole and taught her how to cast.

She took to it pretty fast and woke me up in the wee hours of the morning on Saturday, face to face and whispered, "Mom. Can we go outside and practice fishing?"

Loveland is the sweetest little town. We've really fallen in "love" with it! ha!

It was just so small town feeling. They have so much going on it seems, all the time.

We found a spot to park it and Mimi and Gpa headed to the water

Mimi got a few nibbles, but no fish.

She didn't seem to mind :)

Bode spent his time up on the grass reading...
